#1 Pedestrian
Safety Be
it resolved that the Board of CHSA and members write letters to
Saskatoon City Council, Saskatoon Police Services and SGI asking for a
major publicly funded pedestrian and driver safety education campaign, and
increased and improved enforcement by police services.

Resolution
#2 Pharmacare
Be
it resolved that CHSA (Saskatoon Community Clinic) urge the
Government of Canada to work with the provincial and territorial
governments to put into place the recommendations of Life Before
Pharmacare: Report on the Canadian health Coalition's Hearings into a
Universal Public Drug Plan, November, 2008.

Resolution
#4 Privatization Be
it resolved that CHSA (Saskatoon Community Clinic) urges the
Government of Saskatchewan to:
- take
fully into account the well-documented evidence that for-profit
clinics selling medially necessary services such as surgical
procedures, MRI's and access to physician care, do have deleterious
effects on Canada's publicly funded and publicly delivered health care
and
- maintain
policies to protect Saskatchewan's heal care system from these
insidious patterns of privatization.

Resolution
#5 Homelessness Be
it resolved that CHSA (Saskatoon Community Clinic) continue to
participate in the Passion for Action Against Homelessness organization to
advocate for social housing and emergency shelter, and that the Clinic
continue to work for elimination of health disparities that result from
inadequate housing.

#6 No More Disposable Cups Be
it resolved that CHSA no longer use disposable cups at CHSA public
events/meetings.

Resolution
#7 Electronic Health Record Be
it resolved that the Saskatoon Community Clinic advocate for an
increased and faster adoption of electronic medical and health records in
the province as key to quality of care.
