The
Saskatoon Community Clinic is pleased to have nurse practitioners
working at our Westside and Main Clinic sites as part of our health care
team. A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse (RN) with
advanced training and skills in health assessment, diagnosis, treatment
and management of illnesses and injuries. All NPs are registered with
the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association.
Appointments
to see the Nurse Practitioner can be booked through our Reception
Department. You must be a patient at the Community Clinic to see
the Nurse Practitioner. If the receptionist asks if you would like to
see the Nurse Practitioner, be assured that you will see a competent
primary health care provider and receive a high standard of care.
For
more information about how a nurse practitioner can help you and your
family and how their skills are different from a Registered Nurse or
Doctor click on the attached Brochure.
The
Saskatoon Community Clinic is involved in a provincial initiative called
the Saskatchewan Health Quality Council Chronic Disease Management
Collaborative. The Collaborative is a project to improve the
quality of care for patients living with diabetes and/or Coronary Health
Disease. Our interdisciplinary team, using the guidelines and
educational support provided by the collaborative, works with clients
who have these diseases to provide the highest quality care to assist
them in the management of their diseases. For more information
